China’s top diplomat visits Manila as it conducts military exercises with Washington.

The Chinese foreign minister has just completed a visit to the Philippines.

It was a meeting between neighbors with a history of not only deep economic ties, but long-running territorial disputes.

Ministers of the two countries have pledged to work together to resolve their differences.

The visit was the latest in a series of high-level meetings between the Philippines, China and the United States, all vying for supremacy in the Asia-Pacific region.
