Ron DeSantis’ campaign is following cues from his wife Casey in his latest bid to boost his presidential bid as Florida’s governor drops in the polls.
Never Back Down, the DeSantis-affiliated super PAC, is rolling out a parents’ coalition in key states, similar to the Moms for DeSantis effort Casey launched in Iowa earlier this summer.
Parents Never Back Down groups have already started in Virginia, New Hampshire and South Carolina with more states to follow.
The PAC is also turning to technology to reach voters. It will use an artificial intelligence chatbot to send a pro-DeSantis message via text messages directly to voters’ smart devices, Politics reported, as it tries to gain DeSantis momentum in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Florida’s governor is still second only to Donald Trump. He is 39 points behind the former president Polling average from RealClearPolitics.

In fact, DeSantis has fallen into disrepair and may soon be fighting to be the best alternative to Trump. He is attacked by the former president and his Republican rivals in the race.
Never Back Down’s latest plan will target parents who are tired of the “wake up” agenda in schools. DeSantis has made the “war on woke” an important part of his campaign campaign. Education was a top issue for voters in the 2022 elections.
Casey DeSantis has also raised the issue. When she launched her Mamas for DeSantis group in Iowa, she told the public, “It should be up to parents to decide what education they think is best for their children. And the government has to get out of the way again.’
She credited her husband for “enabling parents to go to the schools and say I want to see what kind of curriculum you teach our children.” And if they didn’t give that information to the parent in a timely manner, they had the right to sue.”
She said it was these policies that led to his re-election as governor of Florida in 2022, and her comments about education earned her the biggest round of applause of the night.
Meanwhile, Ron DeSantis returns to the campaign trail on Saturday after spending the last few weeks in Florida dealing with the effects of Hurricane Idalia.
Even the storm turned political when DeSantis refused to meet with Joe Biden when the president and first lady came to Florida to witness the devastation. The two men had talked on the phone but had not met in person — which was not the case when the Bidens visited each other in 2022 after Hurricane Ian.
Ron and Casey handed out Chik-fil-A to hurricane survivors last Saturday, while Joe and Jill took an aerial tour of the devastated coastline and visited Live Oak.
DeSantis had suggested that a meeting with the president could hamper disaster relief efforts, but the White House quickly snapped back that the governor had never raised those concerns in his many conversations with Biden.

Florida’s governor will be in Iowa on Saturday for a bus tour as he works to visit the state’s 99 counties.
And Casey DeSantis did her part. She is a frequent campaign surrogate for the governor and is expected to increase her presence in the coming months.
Kristin Davison, Chief Operating Officer of Never Back Down, recently told donors this – by audio of the event obtained by CNN – from Casey: ‘With her help they are renovating an entire room. She just brings a level of humility and warmth.”

Before speaking, Ron DeSantis told the audience in a taped video message, “You get the better end of the deal by having my wife Casey there.”
And she showed the power of voter groups when she launched Mamas for DeSantis in Iowa in July.
“It’s one thing if your policies come after us: the mamas. It’s another thing when they come after our kids. And that’s when the claws come out,” she said.

She vowed to criss-cross the country to help her husband win the Republican presidential nominee and the White House.
“As long as I have breath in my body, I will fight for Ron DeSantis—not just because he’s my husband; that’s part of it, but it’s because I believe in him,” she said.
“If you want someone to go to Washington DC to clean things up, to get this country back on the trajectory we’re talking about – our rights come from our creator and our government is put in place to protect our rights that are ours, he’s the man to do it and if I have to cross this country I will,’ she vowed.
Gov. DeSantis won Florida’s female voters 9 percent during his reelection efforts for governor.
