Another terrifying shooting believed to be linked to Sydney’s underworld took place on Tuesday evening.
Police rushed to Canterbury Rd, Campsie, at around 10pm amid reports of a drive-by shooting.
It is believed two people were in a car when the occupants of another vehicle opened fire on them.
NSW Ambulance confirmed multiple crews of paramedics attended the scene and treated a man in his 20s for injuries to his chest and head.
He was taken to Sint-Joris Hospital in critical condition.

One man, in his twenties, was reportedly shot in the chest and head. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and later taken to St. George Hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been set up at the scene of the shooting and in an underground car park on Canterbury Road.
The driver of the car that was shot at probably fled to the parking lot.
Firefighters were called to the scene of three burnt-out cars in the nearby suburbs of Birrong, Berala and Yagoona.
They were able to extinguish the flames, but the cars were left completely destroyed.
It is being investigated whether there is a connection between the shooting and the burned cars.
