A paramedic has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed multiple times outside a fast food restaurant during an early morning attack.
The NSW Ambulance paramedic was stabbed in the abdomen at 5.30am on Friday outside a McDonald’s on Queen Street in Campbelltown, southwest Sydney.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and treated the paramedics.
He is said to have sustained significant injuries and was rushed to Liverpool hospital in a critical condition.

Police arrested a man at the scene and took him to Campbelltown Police Station.
He is currently assisting officers with their investigation.
Police have cordoned off a crime scene and are urging the public to avoid the area.
