Police swam to a suburb of Adelaide after reports of a ‘high-risk incident’.
Members of the public have been urged to avoid Hill Street, Victor Road, Elm Road and surrounding streets Campbelltown in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide.
It is believed that more than 30 police officers surround a house where a person is inside with a firearm, said the advertiser.
The ABC reports that negotiations are currently underway with the unnamed person barricaded inside.
Police have yet to confirm details about the incident.
The streets were closed at around 1:30 PM and an armored police vehicle arrived just after 3:00 PM.

A heavy police presence has gathered in the area since the streets were closed, with more than six cars parked in the surrounding streets.
Paramedics and firefighters are also on scene and currently on standby alongside officers from the Special Task and Rescue (STAR) Group and Polar in the air.
The Polar helicopter has been circling the area for two hours, a local resident told ABC.
‘They are [police are] decked out like a lot of guns, some SWAT-ish guys came out a while ago with big guns and I thought something must be up,” he said.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and local residents are advised to stay indoors.
