After a grueling six months of chemotherapy, a preventive double mastectomy and the removal of her fallopian tubes, the mother of one child said she is “strong” and a “fighter.”

Her goal was always to get a five-year all-clear, so she plans to have a big celebration with her family later this year.

Despite her hardships, Camilla said that having cancer has taught her a lot about herself and her place in this world, and that she is the “happiest” she has ever been.

“Sometimes you have to let go of who you were so that you become the person you need to be. You cannot cling to trivial things, especially in those difficult times. Acceptance has been one of my biggest tools on this journey,” she said. Camilla is pictured as a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2021

She added that you “don’t appreciate the dawn until you’ve experienced true darkness.”

Luna is what got Camilla through her battle with breast cancer, and she’s also her main driver for wanting to be a better person, she said.
