Camila Mendes dons chic cream coat and brown dress while promoting new movie Musica with boyfriend Rudy Mancuso on GMA

Camila Mendes is on the promotional tour for her new film Musica with her latest stop GMA on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old Riverdale alum looked stunning in a long, off-the-shoulder brown dress and cream pumps.

She was seen outside GMA Studios with a cream-colored long coat over her shoulders.

The Upgrade star’s hair was worn in soft waves and she wore a radiant makeup palette.

Camila plays Isabella in Musica, which was written, directed and stars her boyfriend of two years, Rudy Mancuso, 32.

“There’s a lot to the plot,” Camilla began. ‘We have three different genres. There’s a rom-com, there’s a kind of coming-of-age story, there’s the Brazilian-American aspect, a very cultural aspect of the film.

And she also said it’s told from the perspective of someone who has synesthesia, which Mancuso also has.

Mancuso has musical synesthesia, in which he gives meaning and order to everyday sounds.

Mendes co-produced the film and told the hosts what that experience was like, calling it “amazing.”

‘When I got the script in my inbox, I felt like I had to be involved in it more than just as an actress. Being able to tell a Brazilian-American story is so rare, I’ve never been able to do that in my career. ,’ she said.

“I hope people learn about Brazilian culture because it is so nuanced and so different from other Latin cultures.”

She also hopes audiences understand the coming-of-age aspect of the film as well.

“Rudy runs around trying to please everyone in his life and eventually he realizes that you can’t feed others until you get fed,” she explained.

Mancuso cast his real-life mother Maria to play his on-screen mother in Musica and shot most of the film in the house and neighborhood where he grew up.

“This is not an experience that many filmmakers have, especially for the first time, so a bizarre experience in real time in the making, very rewarding in retrospect,” said the You Tuber actor.

The couple met on the set of the semi-autobiographical coming-of-age film.

Musica debuts on Amazon Prime on April 4.
