Cameron Diaz has no idea what is up with Jamie Foxx – hasn’t spoken to him since hospitalization

Cameron Diaz hasn’t spoken to her longtime boyfriend and co-star Jamie Foxx since his mysterious hospitalization in April – and she has “no idea” what will happen with their filming together Back In Action, which has already been plagued with complications.

A close friend of the 50-year-old actress tells DailyMail.com exclusively that “Cameron has not spoken to Jamie at all and knows nothing but what she hears.” The A-listers made scenes together before he was hospitalized.

Cameron has since wrapped up filming for her “comeback” project, but the insider says she may not be back at all due to the string of unfortunate events that happened since she decided to return to her acting shoes.

“Cameron has not signed on for another movie and is not currently taking on any new scripts,” the friend revealed. “Honestly, she’s not sure what’s going on with Back In Action and isn’t very proud of it as there was so much drama before Jamie was hospitalized.”

Cameron was ready to retire from acting for a second time when problems began to arise behind the scenes of Back In Action. The ongoing issues are said to have led to Cameron and Jamie getting into heated arguments on set.

Their differences were reportedly never resolved before Jamie was hospitalized, and now the boyfriend says Cameron suffers from massive “guilt” about the fact that she and her boyfriend never “made up.”

“Cameron now feels extremely guilty about their fights as she hasn’t been able to make amends,” the insider said.

Representatives for Cameron and Jamie did not respond to requests for comment.

While filming for Back In Action is done, the source added that there are “major setbacks in post-production” for the Netflix-funded film, noting that even Cameron isn’t sure what will happen with the project.

Jamie was an executive producer on the film, and producers have been on hold for the past few weeks due to uncertainty about his condition.

In March, Jamie was said to have “had an absolute meltdown” while the film was being shot in the UK, leading to the firing of several people, including an executive producer, two directors and his own driver.

There was even more drama when it was revealed that production was halted last month after an unexploded WWII-era bomb was discovered on the London film set just before two major action sequences were set to be filmed.

Aside from “hating the drama and confrontation” on set, she also disliked the 12-hour work days that kept her away from husband Benji Madden, 44, and their son Raddix.

Fans were initially made aware of Jamie’s health concerns when his daughter Corinne Foxx shared a statement on social media on April 12.

Corinne wrote, “We wanted to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday. Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery through quick action and good care.’

“We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time,” the statement concluded.

In an Instagram post on May 3, his family said on his profile, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed” followed by praying hands, heart and fox emojis.

It is unclear whether Jamie himself made the post. At the time, no further details about his condition had been shared, leading to speculation about how serious his illness is.

A week later, an unnamed source shared on social media that Jamie’s situation was dire. “He wouldn’t be in the hospital for so long if he was even remotely okay. His friends and family hope for the best, but prepare for the worst!’

Corinne quickly shot back. She shared the unnamed source’s statement on her Instagram, writing, “Family Update: Sad to see the media go wild.”

“My father has been out of the hospital for weeks to recover. In fact, he played pickleball yesterday! Thank you for everyone’s prayers and support!’

Since then, Jamie’s family has been seen numerous times visiting a Chicago medical facilityspecializing in the treatment of adults with ‘severe complex conditions’, including stroke recovery.

In addition to Corinne, Jamie’s close friend Dave Brown was also seen visiting the facility and spent time talking to Corinne before visiting the star.

Corrine was photographed arriving at the facility, which is touted as the best rehabilitation center in the country for “the most severe, complex conditions.”

On May 23, former boxer Mike Tyson said Jamie may have suffered a stroke while appearing on the Valuetainment podcast.

‘He does not feel well. They said stroke. I have no idea what happened to him,” Mike said.

Claims on social media that Jamie had become seriously ill as a result of a Covid-19 vaccine recently went viral, with notable right-wing figures such as Candace Owens supporting this.

Jamie’s reps denied the allegations, saying they were ‘untrue’ – but did not reveal what triggered his health scare.

Last week, 32-year-old John Boyega – who starred alongside Jamie in his latest Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone – expressed deep concern for Jamie at the film’s Florida premiere.

Speak against Entertainment tonightsaid Jan, “No one has heard from Jamie. I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with. I wish him all the best.’

He said there were some “missed calls” from himself to Jamie, adding: “I called, I just keep calling.”
