Cambridge prevails in the 77th Women’s Regatta by taking a sixth straight win in a time of 20:28

Cambridge extended their winning streak to six consecutive women’s boat races after beating Oxford with another dominant performance in the 77th running.
Both blue boats broke records in 2022, Cambridge beating their competition by 2 1/4 boatlengths, however, with Cambridge President Caoimhe Dempsey the only returnee for either university and no Olympians in either crews for 2023, it was meant to be a different race.
This time Oxford got off to a good start, but Cambridge closed ever closer and quickly regained Oxford’s lead, umpire Matt Smith issuing his first stern warnings as the boats got dangerously close.

By halfway the defending champions were well ahead, Smith had put away their flags and Cambridge continued to assert their dominance, never relenting as they easily drove to victory.
