Calvin Harris celebrates his 40th birthday with a shirtless selfie as fans claim the DJ is ‘ageing like fine wine’
Calvin Harris celebrated his 40th birthday on Wednesday by sharing a shirtless selfie on social media.
The DJ, who is currently away in a mysterious, sun-drenched location, faced a slew of backlash as fans claimed he was ‘aging like a fine wine.’
As he sat back, he smiled at the camera, tagged his location as “40s” and captioned the update: “Cheers everyone!”
One follower wrote: ‘Aging like a fine wine! Happy Birthday,” with another adding: “Happy Birthday, Sir Harris! Aging like a fine wine.’
A third said: ‘I can’t believe you’re 40. Don’t look near it. happy birthday to the best.”

Someone else commented: ‘Happy birthday! Outdated as a fiiiiiine wiiiiine.”
Calvin looked worlds ahead than when he first started in the industry.
The Ready For The Weekend hitmaker, who is the highest-paid DJ in the world, has invested in his personal image over the years.
When he released his debut album I Created Disco in 2007, Dumfries-born Calvin – whose real name is Adam Wiles – was a pale, scruffy brunette who favored a battered leather jacket, hooded tops and baggy jeans.
But after a few years, the award-winning producer, who is signed to music company Three Six Zero, ditched the hair dye, hired a stylist and started training. A lot of.
Living in LA seems to have helped: ‘The food here is fantastic. You can eat healthy, there are many more healthy options than in the UK – that’s a fact,” he said The sun when he moved there in 2012.
His daily routine now includes eggs for breakfast (“egg white omelet with smoked salmon and spinach for protein, fiber and omega-3”) and a trip to the gym before heading to the studio.
Calvin has also learned to love his height. In the past, the lofty chart-topper has admitted he was bullied at school for being different: “It was hard being the tallest person in class.”

He continued, “Especially when you’re a teenager. You want to keep your head down. I did that anyway. If you’re a spotty, clumsy teenager, you don’t want people to look at you. It’s a self-conscious thing.
‘Everyone looks at you because you’re extra lanky. It’s only been in the last five years that I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m a big, tall bastard.” he said in 2009.
But the biggest difference from Calvin’s look is embracing his natural blonde hair in 2012. “I just don’t have time for those things in my life anymore, and now that I’m approaching 30, I don’t think it’s a good thing that a man does this,” he said at the time.
‘It’s just part of growing up, coming to terms with myself as a person and not doing things like that anymore. I prefer my more natural look. If a person does not do that, he prefers something that is not real. So it’s like preferring an imaginary idea of someone who doesn’t exist. You either love it or you don’t.’
Meanwhile, Calvin’s wife Vick Hope revealed how she previously rejected his advances.
Vick said Calvin first dated her when he was enjoying his first success in the 80s with his hit Acceptable in 2007, but she turned him down at the time.
Back on her Capital radio show before her romance with Calvin, Ronan Kemp said: ‘Calvin Harris has one of the best glow-ups I’ve ever seen. Oh my word, a photo of Calvin Harris from ten years ago to now.”
She said, ‘Why are you asking me this, you know how I feel about this. I was superficial. I was 19 and I said ‘no’. I went out with one of Scouting For Girls or The Wombats. I do not know which.
‘They were there. I thought they would get bigger. But no, it turned out Calvin Harris was going to turn into Adonis.”
Vick, who recently married DJ Calvin in September, recently hinted that she has taken the star’s last name since they tied the knot.
Via her Instagram Stories, Vick shared a snapshot of a Scrabble game spelling the name “Wiles.” Calvin’s real name is Adam Richard Wiles.
The top DJ and BBC Radio presenter tied the knot on Saturday, September 9, in a lavish Glastonbury-themed wedding.
The couple have yet to release any official photos from their big day, but photos from the morning after the wedding show a glimpse into the luxurious and picturesque venue.
The incredible event saw white teepees dotted the grounds alongside 80 lavish tents where guests spent the night.

Food stalls were set up for the after party, one for pizza, one for burgers and a Nigerian stall as Vick is half Nigerian on her mother’s side.
Calvin and Vick partied with their celeb friends, including Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu and BBC radio DJs Vernon Kay and Scott Mills and Vick’s Radio 1 co-host Jordan North.
Laminated signs placed around the premises directed guests where to go, while one stated that mobile phones were strictly prohibited to ensure the couple’s privacy.
Nile Rodgers and Chic, who flew in from the US, performed at the raucous reception, with their equipment still removed.
