‘One minute they’re working on the pleasure beach and the next they’re playing against you!’ Callum Wilson mocks Michail Antonio’s Europa Conference League goals, claiming he “would have scored five” against West Ham’s last 16 opponents, Larnaca

Newcastle striker Callum Wilson has made a mockery of the Europa Conference League following West Ham’s recent success in the tournament.
The Hammers have won all 10 of their matches in the tournament this season, most recently beating Cypriot side Larnaca 4-0 in a round of 16 clash.
It has come in stark contrast to their form in the league, which has left them in the bottom three after 26 games.
Wilson mocked Michail Antonio for his performances at the tournament, as he told the Hammers striker in his footballers soccer podcast: ‘Against Larnaca? I would have scored five!
Antonio has four goals in six ECL appearances this season, including a brace in the first leg against Larnaca.

Wilson continued: “This Europa Conference League thing you’re playing, you’re playing guys who one minute are working the pleasure beach bars, and the next minute they’re coming to play a game of football against you!”
Antonio laughed at the comments, before replying: ‘You have to start winning games or you won’t even make it!
“Hopefully they can keep up their form and get in there, and maybe they can play real football for the first time.” Let’s see how you fare against these people!’

The Magpies currently sit outside the Champions League places in fifth, but they could overtake Tottenham and Manchester United in third place with a win against the Red Devils in their first game after the international break.
Wilson did not care about Antonio’s results, replying, “Enjoy the Championship next season, mate!”
Despite their league woes, West Ham retain a reasonable chance of claiming their first European trophy of the century this season.
They will face Belgian side Gent in the quarterfinals next month, with Nice and Fiorentina the other notable teams remaining in the competition.
