Nottingham Forest, Everton and Fulham are all pitching to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea.

Hudson-Odoi is also attracting interest from France’s Lille and an unnamed club from Saudi Arabia.

Steve Cooper plays a key role – he was Hudson-Odoi’s England Under-17 manager when England won the World Cup – and Forest remains convincing.

His camp expects a busy few days for the 22-year-old.

Hudson-Odoi meets the requirements at Chelsea and has been training with the under-21s since returning from a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen last season.

A possible move to Fulham has so far failed to materialize for Hudson-Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi was one of the stars of Cooper’s under-17 side that won the 2017 World Cup in their age group.

He then made his breakthrough at Chelsea, but an Achilles injury in 2019 halted his progress and he is now ready to move on in a bid to jump-start his career.

Hudson-Odoi last played for the Blues in March 2022.

The winger made 21 appearances on loan for Bayer Leverkusen last season, scoring once.

He fell out of favor in the second half of the season, making just one Bundesliga substitution appearance from the end of February.
