Call of Duty Warzone 2 finally has a release date

The highly anticipated battle royale sequel Call of Duty: Warzone 2 finally has a release date.
Announced during the Call of Duty Next livestream, Warzone 2 (opens in new tab) is scheduled for release on November 16. That will get their hands on players just a few weeks after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches in October.
It will be released alongside the first multiplayer season. Like the original Warzone, each season update for Warzone 2 will be shared with the other Call of Duty titles, meaning many of the new features coming in Modern Warfare 2 will also make an appearance in the Battle Royale.
Big changes
Warzone 2 will make some big changes to the Battle Royale. For starters, it introduces a new map Al Mazrah – a mix of vast desert, industrial areas, cities and lots of water. Expect rocky peaks, underground caves and claustrophobic passageways.
Some of the points of interest on the map include a fortress, an observatory, an abandoned village, swamps, an airport, and an empty metropolis. Rivers will connect all the major landmarks, with Warzone 2 relying heavily on Call of Duty’s new water features.
Cars are also refurbished. A new physics and handling model will make them feel more authentic to drive, but also to destroy. You can blow off tires to bring enemies to a stop, climb on car roofs for a combat advantage, and lean out windows for extra firepower. You have to take care of them. Tires need to be repaired on the fly and cars need to be refueled if you want them to keep running.
Those are some big changes, though not quite as big as the new third-person mode coming to Modern Warfare 2.
