Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone are adding Diablo characters, Doom weapons, and Skeletor
The first details for season six of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) And War zone are revealed and iconic Diablo characters Lilith and Inarius will join the fray as playable operators, in addition to the addition of a DOOM weapon bundle and more.
As explained in a new message on the Duty blog, season six – “The Haunting” – launches on all platforms on September 27. During the season the two are known Diablo faces arrive next to an operator bundle for Masters of the universe‘s Skeletor, who comes with “blueprints and emblems of evil sorcery.” Meanwhile, the DOOM Tracer Weapon Bundle contains multiple weapons including a DOOM-themed chainsaw and shotgun.
Other cosmetics appearing in season six include one Evil Death 2 bundle with Ash Williams, as well as a Hellsing bundle starring Alucard. There will also be a skin for Gaia (basically humanized Mother Nature),
Skins and weapons aside, in War zoneThe Haunting sees the return of the limited-time Zombie Royale and Lockdown modes, as well as some new events. In Operation Nightmare, players will have to take on “a host of monstrous targets” and “investigate eldritch anomalies” while clearing a Bounty board – starting on October 17.
In addition, Vondel becomes Vondead halfway through the season. The blog post reads: “A demonic incantation by a sorceress has unleashed a zombie outbreak, bringing nightmares to life as the canals of Vondead turn red with blood.” It further teases that players will be able to take on a mythical creature known as ‘The Butcher’ in the underworld – this will yield currently unknown rewards.
Meanwhile in Modern Warfare 2 (2022)Two new Core maps (La Casa and Koro Village) and two additional Gunfight maps (King and Fight) will be rolled out from the start of the season. Midway through the season, El Asilo and Embassy get into the spooky seasonal spirit with a number of reskins, and Drop Zone, Infected, Domination, Grind, and Kill Confirmed all get a Halloween theme as well.
