Sunrise viewers call for alternate hosts Monique Wright and Mark Beretta to permanently replace David Koch and Natalie Barr: ‘This has been the best team in a long time’
Monique Wright and Mark Beretta hosted Sunrise over the summer while David ‘Kochie’ Koch and Natalie Barr took a much-needed vacation.
But with the main team returning to the studio on Monday, fans flocked to Instagram to demand that the replacement hosts become a permanent fixture.
Comments flooded on a dance video posted on Sunrise’s Instagram page on Thursday, which showed Wright, 49, and Beretta, 56, ‘having fun’ in the studio.

In the hilarious video, the TV hosts lip-synced to Elaine Stritch’s Are You Have Any Fun while showing off their hilarious dance moves.
One by one, they moved across the stage before the footage cut to a group shot of the entire team doing their best and dancing alongside their hosts.
Delighted with the show, fans begged Wright and Beretta to stay on as co-hosts of the breakfast TV show, with many suggesting they should replace Kochie, 66, and Barr, 54.

‘Sunrise has been so good. Lots of laughs in the last few weeks. A pleasure to see,” wrote one person.
‘You guys have been great to watch this summer. Can you stay as the morning team? said another.
A third criticized Barr’s interview skills, saying, “Monique’s conversational skills when interviewing is so refreshing to listen to.”
They flooded comments for a dance video posted on Sunrise’s Instagram page Thursday that showed Wright and Beretta “having fun” in the studio.
They continued: ‘Nat ums and ahs and her voice is constantly complaining. There is no connection to the person she is talking to.
One fan pleaded: ‘Please don’t leave us. This has been the best Sunrise team in a long time.
“Please don’t go,” another agreed. Can’t the station switch you two to weekdays and Koch and Nat to weekends? Mind you, I loved weekdays when Samantha was there.
