California teacher with ‘queer library’ slammed by parents for giving explicit content to kids

A California high school teacher who told his thousands of TikTok followers about his ‘queer classroom library’ is coming under fire from parents for sexually explicit content in many of the books.

The teacher, who goes by Flint and uses they/them pronouns, recently posted a video in which they opened a box of new Pride flags while discussing their queer-centric library, which they say has helped students who are ‘finding out who they are.’

‘People get very angry with my queer library. I have like 200 titles that are specific to the LGBT community that I’ve been curating for over eight years,’ says the teacher at the 90 second video.

‘Don’t get me wrong, my students love that library. It has been very helpful for many students to find out who they are and how to relate to their peers,” he continued.

“Pornography shouldn’t be allowed in classrooms,” said David Averell, a parent in the district who spoke with Fox Digital News. ‘What was in the classroom made me quite sick.’

The teacher, who goes by Flint, is seen wearing a ‘Read Pride’ T-shirt in a video posted to TikTok.

The teacher said in a video that they have amassed a collection of more than 200 queer novels and books over eight years or so.

This video, along with hundreds of others posted on Flint’s page, has sparked outrage from parents and family members of district students.

The library is set up in the English and film teacher’s classroom and the books are free and available to all, despite previous claims made by Capistrano Unified School District officials.

In the past, district officials have stated that students could only borrow books at a specific extracurricular activity.

One of the books in the transgender teacher’s library is called ‘Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Being Trans’ and it contains references to BDSM, including a mention of FetLife, a networking website for the ‘kinky community’.

‘I think the BDSM/kink community is extremely open and welcoming in every way; it is a place of sexual liberation’, the book says.

“There is often a more general level of acceptance of transgender people within kink/BDSM (bondage and discipline, domination and submission, sadism and masochism) scenes and sites like FetLife.”

“Porn shouldn’t be allowed in classrooms,” said a parent of LGBTQ+ picture books

A book in the queer library talks about Grindr, anal, ‘girl on girl’ sex, dildos and strap-ons.

A book titled ‘This book is gay’ is also in the classroom, which could be viewed by students as young as 14. The book talks about the gay dating app Grindr, anal, ‘girl on girl’ sex, and dildos and strap-ons.

“We all want to have sex with a lot of people,” the book states.

He even goes into detail describing how many men, ‘gay or straight’ enjoy the feeling of the prostate gland ‘when massaged’.

‘Let’s talk about dildos: I think many people assume that where there is no penis, a desperate sexual vacuum is created, of which something [bleep] Ultimately, the form must fit to satisfy,” the book states.

‘I only slept with two women who enjoyed using dildos. I hate wearing a belt. I’ve only done it once and NEVER AGAIN!

The book also deals with sex parties, orgies, and “bath houses” or saunas.

Saunas, or “bath houses,” are spread all over the country and are perfectly legal. People (many saunas have lesbian nights) pay some money to get in and then have some random sauna and sex. Again, this is fine as long as you’re safe.

Another book in his library talks about the ‘tucking’ process used to hide the penis. He also addresses ‘whorephobia’, which is classified as a stigma against prostitution.

Flint has said they “very much believe in what they” are doing by giving students access to LGBTQ+ books, despite pushback for sexually explicit content in some of them.

In a video, the teacher addressed parents’ concerns that they are ‘recruiting kids to be trans’ by joking that the only time they ‘go rogue’ is to discuss plot holes in movies.

The district said in a statement sent to parents and families that it is investigating the books in Flint’s classroom and investigating their “appropriation.”

“We are aware of a news article questioning the adequacy of books that were in a student club’s library,” the district said in the memo, obtained by Fox News Digital.

‘The books referenced were made available through a high school after-school club and are not instructional materials.

“However, we have initiated a review of these books, which are currently not available to students,” the letter said.

The district also said it does not “endorse the personal statements of any individual speaking in their capacity as a private citizen.”

Capistrano Unified School District officials said they are looking into the “appropriateness” of the books after receiving backlash from families.

This isn’t the first time the teacher has faced backlash over his library.

In SeptemberFlint addressed his 150,000 TikTok followers in a video titled “Where have I been lately?”

“A national far-right publication published an article ‘exposing’ queer books in my classroom library,” they wrote, describing why they hadn’t published in almost three weeks.

The teacher then shared screenshots of messages from people who found his email and sent direct messages.

“It’s sad that you think your job is to indoctrinate young students,” one person wrote in the email. ‘I will pray for you.’

“You are a hairdresser and now you will work at McDonalds,” said another. ‘Stop sexually harassing our children, you piece of shit.’

Flint used the video to raise awareness about book bans in the United States.

On another occasion, the teacher addressed the ‘waves of criticism she received for explicit books in her classroom.

“So as a trans professor with a fairly public platform, there will often be waves of criticism that I know better than to internalize,” they said.

‘Occasionally there will be that little voice that says something like, “What if they’re right? What if all my efforts on this Earth are in vain.” At those times, it helps to take a step back, away from the problem,” Flint said.

The film professor has also stated that they “believe a lot in what” they are doing.
