Holiday toy drive takes very dark turn as volunteer is KIDNAPPED…and has to resort to disturbing act to escape

A California volunteer has revealed her “living nightmare” after being kidnapped by a scammer posing as a donor for a holiday toy drive.

Erin Quinn was lured to a home in Winchester on December 18 with the intention of collecting the toys. KTL reports.

She said she received a text message from an anonymous number claiming to be from an old woman named Connie who wanted to donate gifts.

She arrived at the address and began walking to the house before receiving another message saying someone would bring the toys to her car.

When she got back into her car, Quinn was grabbed from behind by a woman who started pulling her hair and tasering her.

Quinn was ordered to drive past the woman, but she crashed her car after about 25 minutes due to the pain after being tasered about 30 times.

She eventually managed to escape her vehicle and the women began fighting on the side of the road – with Quinn even biting off part of her attacker’s finger.

“I kicked her as hard as I could,” Quinn explained. ‘She tried to put her fingers in my mouth, perhaps in an attempt to rip my mouth open, and in total panic I bit off part of her finger in self-defense as I didn’t know what else to do. Doing.’

In a stunning twist, Quinn said she suddenly recognized her attacker as a former housekeeper.

She claimed the woman disguised herself with a blonde wig. She fled when a bystander rushed to help.

“My brain shook so much and my body shut down and I thought I was going to die or pass out,” Quinn said.

The force has chosen to keep the suspect’s name secret because she has not yet been formally charged. She currently remains at large.

“I’m terrified,” Quinn said. “I don’t know why she would do this.”

Quinn was left with bruises on her limbs, taser burns on her scalp, missing clumps of hair and broken nails.

“My whole world has been turned upside down,” she wrote on one GoFundMe set up to cover the cost of her bills while she needs time to recover.

‘All I was trying to do was help with the Christmas toy collection and I thought I could pop in real quick to pick up these presents before I started my work day.

‘I was completely confused (there were no presents) and when I got back into my car I had no idea there was someone waiting for me, ready to attack.’

She believes her attacker, whom she has not spoken to in nine months, was hoping to take her across the border.

“I am convinced her plan was to kidnap me and take me to Mexico for ransom or sale,” Quinn added.

She said she and her mother had previously supported the suspect by providing her and her daughter with shelter and money.

Quinn also punched other bystanders who saw what was happening but did not intervene.

“Several construction workers in the area witnessed what was happening, recorded video and did nothing,” she said.

But she praised passerby William King as a “hero” for managing to pull the attacker off her.
