California Governor Gavin Newsom took to the basketball court during his trip to China and managed to knock down a little boy during his on-court antics.
In a video posted to X, Newsom wears a white shirt and blue slacks as he spins the basketball on his finger.
As he starts to dribble the ball, he makes a quick turning motion before crossing to the center of the green playing field.
Just as he gets to the center of the playing field, he brutally knocks down a little boy and playfully wraps his arm around the child as they both fall to the ground.

Newsom’s trip to China began Monday in Hong Kong with a single mission to discuss climate change, even after eight California Republican members of the House of Representatives urged him to cancel the trip.
Republicans have also said Newsom should discuss human rights abuses and fentanyl production during his visit.
The governor of California has continued to make headlines lately with suspicions that he plans to run for president in the 2024 elections. He has continued to deny these claims.
Before landing in China, Newsom traveled to Israel on Friday, and after Hong Kong he went to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong provinces and Jiangsu.
When he arrived in the country, he was welcomed with open arms. Robert Desantis called him and Chinese President Xi Jinping ‘two peas in a row’.
Newsom has pledged to spend his time in China on climate change, despite the intense war going on in Israel and Palestine.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, argued that Newsom’s trip gives China the upper hand.
She said Politico Newsom’s focus “is not on addressing climate issues, but instead ceding America’s energy and emissions reductions to the CCP.”
The CCP is the Communist Party of China, which was originally founded in 1949 and controls the Chinese government.
While the United States and Europe continue to try to reduce CO2 emissions, China’s CO2 use continues to rise.
The Chinese government itself estimates that 80 percent of China’s groundwater is contaminated and that a similar percentage of major river basins are ‘unsafe for human contact’.
Desantis told DailyMail.com that Jinping and Newsom share a similar “tough” approach when it comes to policing those they govern, especially regarding COVID-19.
Newsom became the first governor in more than four years to travel to China. He was also the first to meet President Jinping since 2017, as former Governor Jerry Brown last met him.
Ahead of a meeting with Wang Yi, China’s top diplomat on Wednesday, Newsom said: “I am here expecting, as you propose, to turn the page, to renew our friendship and to re-address basic and fundamental issues that will determine the future. our collective faith in the future.’
The East Bay Times reported that Jinping and Newsom had “discussed ways to accelerate our progress on climate in meaningful and substantive ways,” Newsom said at a news conference.
Some flocked to the video of Newsom playing basketball with the kids in China, with a mix of both positive and negative reactions.
“I don’t know why people mock him for this; this makes him look cooler,” one person said.
Another said: ‘This is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. NO DOUBT.’
Others made sly comments about the governor’s trip to China.
Newsom has faced widespread criticism for his trip to China, as many Republicans wanted him to cancel his trip, which he said is based solely on discussing climate change.
Commenters flocked under the video of Newsom punching the child while playing basketball in China, as some wished he would instead focus on the criminal issue in his state of California.
“Well, it’s a good thing he has nothing to do in California,” one response read.
Another commenter said, “Man he’s having so much fun in China and he probably forgot about all the problems in California!”
The state of California continues to suffer from flash robberies, while the lawless Democratic state, led by Newsom, has seen an exodus of abandoned offices and countless businesses shuttered as opioid-addicted vagrants fill the sidewalks.
San Francisco has just decided to continue the fight against homelessness and street vendors ahead of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
