Caleb Williams has decided to forgo the typical medical exams given to participants in the NFL combine and has refused to share his health information with all 32 league teams.

The former Heisman Trophy winner and likely top overall selection in April’s NFL Draft is believed to be the first person in history to clear the physical exam with the league’s association.

Williams had also previously declined to participate in on-field practices related to the combine ahead of his Pro Day at USC to show off his skills.

The physical exams are an important part of the NFL combine, so all teams have the necessary information for the players they can give millions to.

The leverage Williams has in this situation is the perception that he is the best quarterback and overall player in the draft process. Therefore, not every team needs its information.

“There’s not 32 teams that can draft me, there’s only one of me,” Williams said of his reasoning.

Williams used the NFL combine to meet with the media during a news conference Friday morning and to schedule individual team meetings.

Williams’ meetings were with the Bears, Commanders, Raiders, Vikings, Falcons, Patriots, Jets and Giants, per CBS Sports.

The Bears, Commanders and Patriots have the top three selections in the 2024 draft, while the Giants, Jets and Falcons are also in the top 10.

The Raiders and Vikings are believed to be the leading candidates to enter the first few picks and select a quarterback.

The biggest roadblock for the Bears, who hold the No. 1 overall selection and are targeting Williams, is trading away current starting quarterback Justin Fields.

Fields, who has been Chicago’s starter for the past three seasons, has been linked with a move to his home state Atlanta Falcons to make room for Williams.

USC’s Pro Day is scheduled for March 20, with a majority of NFL teams expected to attend.
