Caitlyn Jenner shares a loving tribute to former stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian for her 39th birthday

Caitlyn Jenner took to Instagram on Tuesday to pay a loving tribute to former stepdaughter, Khloe Kardashian, in honor of her 39th birthday.

The former Olympic athlete, 73, who joined other family members who sent sweet birthday messages to the Good American founder, uploaded a throwback photo as the pair stood side by side on her wedding day as she married her now-ex, Lamar Odom, in 2009.

In the caption, Jenner typed, “Happy birthday @khloekardashian. Being your stepfather was and is one of the best things your mother ever blessed me with.”

She continued, “I promised your father I would do my best to always be there for you children and I know I haven’t been perfect but I will always love you and you are forever in my heart.”

“I hope your day is filled with love, your children and happiness,” Caitlyn concluded to her 14.6 million fans and followers.

The retired athlete also joined her stories to share another throwback photo that was framed and added the same birthday message.

Khloe reposted the photo and message to her own Instagram stories, replying with, “I love you!!!!!!” followed by pink heart emojis.

When she tied the knot with Kris Jenner in 1991, Caitlyn became the stepfather of her children whom she welcomed with the late attorney, Robert Kardashian: Kourtney, 44, Kim, 42, Khloe, and also Rob, 36. He notably died in 2003 after a battle with esophageal cancer.

During Caitlyn and Kris’ wedding, they also welcomed daughters Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 25. However, the former couple finalized their divorce in 2015, the same year Jenner came out as transgender.

In the past, alleged “tension” had developed between Khloe and Caitlyn after the divorce. In 2019, Khloe was said to be “completely blindsided” by Caitlyn’s claims that they haven’t spoken in five to six years.

The reality star was reportedly “genuinely confused” by the star’s confession on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! that they’ve been consistently on rocky terms since Caitlyn came out as transgender in 2015.

Sources told TMZ at the time Khloe had refuted Caitlyn’s claims — revealing that she was just supportive of the former Olympian’s transition, with things only turning sour after Caitlyn’s explosive claims about her mother Kris Jenner in her memoir.

However, in 2016, Khloe said there is “no bad blood on her part” and is “baffled by her accusation that there is tension.”

Khloe’s rep said at the time, “Caitlyn and Khloe have no fight, feud or drama. Caitlyn just isn’t as close to Khloe as she used to be, but there’s definitely no feud.”

During a 2021 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe opened up about her relationship with Jenner, admitting that she talks to the former Olympian “probably every blue moon,” per Us weekly.

The mother-of-two then explained, “It’s just because we’re busy, it’s COVID. There’s no beef.’

Caitlyn and Khloe’s relationship appears to be strain-free, with Khloe celebrating Jenner’s 73rd birthday late last year in October.

Notably, Kim had shared a photo taken of the family, with Khloe right next to Caitlyn. In caption added to the photo, the founder of SKIMS wrote, “Happy Birthday @caitlynjenner. I can’t wait to celebrate with you. I love you so much, Kim.’

And last year, shortly after Khloe’s son Tatum was born via surrogate in July 2022, Caitlyn congratulated her former stepdaughter by reposting the news on Instagram, followed by an uplifting message.

‘@khloekardashian I love you so much! You are an amazing mom and such a thong boss woman! Truly incredible for women everywhere – so blessed to have you in my life!’ Caitlyn also wrote a separate tweet.

Along with a birthday message from Caitlyn, Khloe also received a slew of tributes from other loved ones, including her brother Rob, who returned to Instagram on Tuesday to pen a heartfelt tribute to his older sister in honor of her 39th birthday.

The TV personality uploaded two photos of the Good American founder, as well as a lengthy caption. The first photo was a close-up selfie of the father of a child with Khloe as they sat next to each other.

The other image in the Instagram carousel showed the star posing for a sweet photo with Rob’s daughter Dream, six, who he shares with ex Blac Chyna.

“Happy birthday @khloekardashian,” he typed, followed by a slew of red balloon emojis. “I wish you nothing but good health and happiness forever my dear buttercup!”

Rob continued, “I love you so much and am so grateful to have you in my life and for all you do for Dream and me. I don’t know what I’d do without you.’ He added an assortment of emojis and another “happy birthday” to his sister.

Khloe jumped to the comments section to return the love, typing, “My baby!!!! My favorite person in the world. You are my heartbeat.’

The media personality was last active on Instagram earlier this year on Feb. 22 to pay tribute to his late father, Robert Kardashian, on what would have been his 79th birthday.

Her mom, Kris, also jumped to Instagram and shared two separate posts featuring adorable pictures from Khloe’s childhood and also content from past birthdays.

Kim shared tribute images and also surprised her sister by having TikTok teen singing duo, Jake & Selby, serenade the Good American founder with Patti LaBelle’s 1983 song, If Only You Knew.

Kourtney, who is currently expecting her fourth child and first with husband Travis Barker, also uploaded an assortment of images to join in the celebration. An adorable photo showed the sisters posing atop streamlined vehicles.

Her other sisters, Kylie and Kendall, also sent love to Khloe, with the beauty mogul taking to her Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page to share some birthday wishes.
