Caitlin Clark’s Fever teammate Aliyah Boston opens up on ‘added pressure’ from rookie… after brutally shutting her down in press conference

As part of her 4th of July celebration, Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston answered hundreds of questions from fans, many of which were about her new teammate Caitlin Clark.

A social media user asked Boston if playing in the WNBA brings added pressure now that Clark has given more attention to the league.

Women’s basketball has become extremely popular over the past year thanks to the play of Clark, Angel Reese and others.

Boston entered the season as the Fever’s No. 1 seed a year ahead of Clark, playing the former Iowa star in her final game for South Carolina.

“I don’t think it’s any extra pressure. We’re used to playing with the eyes on us in college, so that doesn’t change just because we’re in the W,” Boston responded to X.

Boston’s downplaying of the added pressure comes a week after a news conference in Seattle where reporters ignored her for the first few minutes and only wanted to ask Clark questions after her loss to the Storm.

Boston’s lack of attention prompted the budding sensation to say, “Ask Aliyah a question!” to which Boston responded resolutely, “No, I’m fine with it!”

Clark reiterated that she wanted someone from the Boston media to ask a question and for someone from the press corps in Seattle to comply.

Many fans have wondered how Boston and Clark will work together to get the Indiana Fever back into the playoffs.

The Fever are currently half a game out of a playoff spot, with the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream just ahead of them.

Clark and Boston will play a team for Indiana again on Saturday, taking on the league’s best team, New York Liberty.
