Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery lands big new job
Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery has officially found a new job, but he won’t let go of the Indiana Fever star.
After serving as the basketball development coordinator for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA last season, McCaffery, a former University of Iowa player, will join Butler University as an assistant coach, the school confirmed Monday.
Luckily for the couple, McCaffery won’t be leaving Indianapolis, as Butler is also located in Indiana’s capital city.
The school announced the appointment via an Instagram post, which Clark then posted to her own story.
“yayy! so happy for you,” she wrote with a white heart emoji while tagging McCaffery.

McCaffery earned a reputation as a tough player in 166 games for Iowa in college
Butler head coach Thad Matta added in a statement‘After a career as a high-level player, Connor has had the opportunity to both contribute and learn from one of the best coaching staffs in the NBA.’
“Those experiences will be very valuable to our staff. He obviously comes from a basketball family that I know very well and I’m excited about the impact he’s going to have on our program, both quickly and in the long term.”
McCaffery’s move to Butler’s staff was first reported last week by Akeem Glaspie of the Indianapolis Star.
The 26-year-old, who played 166 games for Iowa in six seasons, is the son of longtime men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery.
Connor’s brother Patrick, who also played five years for Iowa, is also playing his final collegiate season at Butler.

Clark has been in great form for the Indiana Fever lately since the WNBA resumed
Connor and Clark, who met while playing for Iowa, started dating in April of last year.
Clark has been a standout performer in the WNBA of late, averaging 24.3 points and 8.9 assists in the 13 games since the league returned from the Olympics last month.
Her Fever team also secured a spot in the play-offs.
Butler has not made the NCAA Tournament since 2018, but is known to fans for his back-to-back appearances in the national championship games in 2010 and 2011.
