Caitlin Clark told what she lacks compared to Angel Reese as Skip Bayless says to Indiana Fever star: ‘I thought you were better than that’

Skip Bayless praised Angel Reese after the Chicago Sky’s thrilling 88-87 win over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

The Fox Sports 1 host was quick to point out a key difference between the two superstar rookies, telling Clark that he thought she was “better” than the performance she gave on the field.

‘The first thing that comes out [Reese’s] mouth was, β€œI’ve got that dog in me,” he said of the LSU alum’s postgame interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe.

‘Conversely, I don’t know if [Clark] has that dog in him,” he continued.

β€œYou’re either born with it or you’re not, and you can’t nurture it, coach it or teach it. That’s what you’re made of.’

During the segment on Monday’s episode of Undisputed, Bayless emphasized how impressed he was with Reese, less than a week after knocking down the 22-year-old.

β€œFor the first time as a professional basketball player, Angel clearly showed me what she’s good at because they were in big trouble in that game,” he said.

As for Clark, he continued, “I know she has talent, I know she definitely has the ability to succeed at basketball…I know it’s extremely early, but I’m starting to wonder when I see what I saw yesterday.

β€œI’m watching the last three quarters of this game and Caitlin was really quiet, it reminded me of the championship game against South Carolina,” he said of Iowa’s NCAA loss to the Gamecocks in April.

“I thought you were a little better than that.”

Bayless has previously been critical of Reese, even going so far as to say she “smells of jealousy and bitterness” towards Clark.

β€œI don’t think she wants to be the bad guy, but she is the instigator,” Bayless said after the Sky’s 91-83 loss to the Fever last week.

β€œHer postgames smell a bit of jealousy and bitterness. That’s how it comes across to me.’

The pundit also took issue with Reese’s tone and choice of words in her post-match interviews, specifically her claim that the referees have “a special whistle” for Clark.

β€œIt just comes across as so negative,” Bayless said. β€œYou guys,” as if the media is against her. I don’t think the media is against her.’

“And when she says ‘special whistle,’ I gotta tell you, I’ve seen all of Caitlin’s games.” There have been so many times when she’s tried to dribble the ball across the field, and she’s been met by a very physical defender who just plays football at her. And they never mention it.”

“I don’t see any special whistle.”
