Caitlin Clark is sent crashing to the court by brutal bodycheck from WNBA rival Alyssa Thomas – and fans fume after it is NOT called as a flagrant foul

It wasn’t the first time this season that Caitlin Clark faced tough defensive work in the WNBA on Wednesday night.

Indiana Fever received the Connecticut Sun – ahead of Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas, among others – and Clark broke records again in her debut year.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Fever phenom after she was hit with a heavy bodycheck during the match and thrown to the court.

The aggressive play was made by Connecticut center Alyssa Thomas and was considered a common foul, leaving fans outraged and wondering why it wasn’t called a major foul.

“That ain’t basketball,” someone wrote on X, while another added, “Cheap shot, leaning the shoulder in.”

Clark has been the victim of two major fouls this season, both times against the same opponent in the Chicago Sky.

The first was a check from Chennedy Carter and the second from Angel Reese, another rookie who has become Clark’s big rival in their debut season.

Aside from being sprawled out on the field in Indiana, it was a successful night for Clark and the rest of her Fever teammates.

Apart from the foul, it was a very successful evening for Clark, who is taking the competition by storm

The No. 1 overall pick broke the WNBA rookie record for most three-pointers made in a season, making her 86th of the year in the first quarter.

The record was previously held by Rhyne Howard and was set in 2022, but Clark is still dominating the competition in her first year with the Indiana Fever.

The Fever won the game 84-80, which puts them in seventh place in the WNBA standings with a 15-16 record.
