Caitlin Clark is brutally shut down by Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston in press conference after awkward exchange with journalists
Following the Indiana Fever’s 89-77 loss to the Seattle Storm on Thursday night, their second in a row, arguably the team’s two biggest stars were involved in a heated exchange of words.
Caitlin Clark was brutally punished by Aliyah Boston during the post-match press conference after she had already been asked a number of questions. No one recognized Boston.
That prompted the budding sensation to say “ask Aliyah a question!”, to which Boston replied, “No, I’m fine!” emphatically.
Clark again reiterated that she wanted someone in the Boston media to ask a question, while someone in the assembled press in Seattle was obliging.
Boston and Clark were both clearly frustrated with the result that keeps the fever out of the WNBA’s playoff picture, combining to score 26 points against the Storm.

There have been no real signs of discord between Clark and Boston thus far, as they are both vital to Indiana’s future success.
Clark’s rookie season has been under a huge microscope because she has been at the forefront of the rising popularity of women’s basketball, dating back to her career at Iowa.
Boston walked in the exact same shoes that Clark is currently wearing. She was a dominant collegiate player at South Carolina and was the No. 1 overall selection in last year’s WNBA Draft for the Fever.
After being an afterthought in a league searching for relevance, those concerns disappeared with Clark’s arrival.
Still, the Fever as a team have yet to reap the rewards usually associated with Clark.
Things won’t get any easier for the Mercury, as Sunday sees the first-ever matchup between Clark and Diana Taurasi, before closing out their road match against the Las Vegas Aces.
