Caitlin Clark goes viral for battling Kelsey Plum in WNBA All-Star Game – as fans mock Olympian for ‘playing hard and still getting cooked’
Footage of Caitlin Clark taking on Kelsey Plum at the WNBA All-Star Game has gone viral on social media, with fans mocking the American point guard for being ‘cooked’ by her younger rival.
Clark helped Team WNBA defeat USA Basketball in the All-Star Game on Saturday. The Indiana Fever sensation collected a whopping 10 assists that night, the most ever for a rookie in the stadium.
It was a disappointing night for Plum, as the Las Vegas Aces star and her Olympic teammates suffered a defeat just over a week before their opening match at this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris.
And as if the 117-109 loss wasn’t bad enough, a video surfaced online after Saturday’s game showing her losing a fight with Clark on the court.
The clip, which has been viewed 5.4 million times on X, sees Plum attempting to mount an aggressive defense against the Fever rookie for the first time as they face off in the first half.

But after playing a pass to Aliyah Boston, Clark manages to shake off Plum before taking the ball back from her Indiana teammate.
She then threw a perfect pass right in front of Boston, who fired an easy bucket from the paint.
An enthusiastic Clark cheered passionately after her final assist of the game, ultimately helping the WNBA All Stars to victory.
However, users were quick to ridicule Plum on social media after her aggressive tactics backfired.
Someone wrote: ‘The fact that they think she should play like that in a practice match (still cooking) means they’ve already lost’.
“Playing so hard in an all-star game and still getting screwed,” another wrote with a laughing emoji.
A third said of Clark: ‘They just make her better’.
While another simply said: ‘If you defend aggressively, don’t work on CC with only star players, lol’.

Clark enjoyed a successful first All-Star Game in Phoenix, even burying the hatchet with rival and now teammate Angel Reese in the second half.
Clark and Reese, who are vying for the Rookie of the Year award this year, put their differences aside and joined forces. The former went astray and spotted her teammate by a wide margin.
She then threw a dime to Reese, who coolly scored the basket to extend Team WNBA’s lead that night.
After working together brilliantly, the duo delivered an iconic photo by giving each other a high five before continuing the game.
