Caitlin Clark gets a RED CARPET from Indiana Fever as WNBA side make major change to player arrivals after midseason break

Caitlin Clark literally got her own red carpet at Indiana Fever with the WNBA team, changing the way players arrive for games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Fever took full advantage of the mid-season break by rolling out a red carpet with a team logo next to it, allowing Clark and her team to arrive in style for their games.

Pacers and Fever reporter Scott Agness picked up on it, tweeting: “After the Olympic break, Fever teams now have a red carpet with a logo in the background for player arrivals.”

Clark has taken interest in the Indiana team to the next level after being selected first overall in the WNBA Draft earlier this year.

The team’s home games are almost always sold out, while her presence has helped sell out several games at NBA arenas this season.

Clark, 22, returned to WNBA competition on Friday after a month-long hiatus — she was controversially left out of the U.S. women’s Olympic team that won gold in Paris,

Clark was overlooked because she missed practices due to her NCAA commitments with Iowa in the weeks before she made the move to the WNBA.

The Fever are in contention for the WNBA playoffs and are 11-15 for the season before Friday’s game.

Clark said before tipoff: “It gets you excited. We were 1-8 and if people thought we were going to go into halftime in seventh place, a lot of people would think you were lying.

I probably thought you were lying too. I felt like I was getting into a groove (before the break). I wanted to keep playing.

“I definitely feel fresher, more prepared or whatever. There’s definitely a balance, we’ve been itching to get back on the field this past week.”
