Caitlin Clark breaks another incredible WNBA rookie record… with NINE games to spare!

Caitlin Clark added a remarkable new WNBA record to her rookie season, making her 86th three-pointer of the year.

Clark now holds the record for most three-pointers made by a rookie in league history, completing the feat with just nine games remaining.

The record was previously held by Rhyne Howard and was set in 2022, but Clark is still dominating the competition in her first year with the Indiana Fever.

Clark passed the milestone in the first quarter of the Fever’s home game against the Connecticut Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

Her latest success came just two days after she broke another WNBA attendance record in Atlanta on Monday.

17,608 fans filled the Atlanta Hawks’ State Farm Arena, setting the bar for the largest attendance ever at a WNBA game in Georgia.

The last record was held by the previous game between Dream and Fever in the Peach State on June 24, which drew 17,575 fans.

Breaking attendance records is a recurring theme in the competition whenever Clark and the Fever are in town.

Just days after setting the previous record for Atlanta, Clark drew 18,343 in the Pacific Northwest against the Seattle Storm. She then brought 20,366 to the seats against the Las Vegas Aces on July 2 and 19,023 in Minnesota against the Lynx on August 24.

In the same match, Clark suffered an injury after twisting her ankle and screaming in pain, and was subsequently pulled from the match.

Although the crowd collectively held their breath, she was thankfully back shortly after and started for Fever in the match in Indiana on Wednesday night.

The Fever are 14-16, but eight teams are in the playoffs, giving them a 99% chance of advancing.

The team is currently seventh in the standings, just ahead of Chicago Sky and Clark’s big debuting rival Angel Reese.
