Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery enjoy volleyball date night in Indiana

Caitlin Clark and longtime friend Connor McCaffery enjoyed courtside seats at the Indy Ignite game Thursday night.

The WNBA rookie of the year is enjoying her offseason after a historic first year with the Indiana Fever.

After swearing off the unprecedented 3-on-3 women’s basketball competition, Clark remained in Indiana and supported the city’s professional women’s volleyball team against the Grand Rapids Rise.

The Fever posted a photo of their franchise player and McCaffery, a Butler men’s basketball assistant coach, in their seats during the game.

Clark and McCaffery were also filmed clapping for the Ignite players, while the Fever star enjoyed a bag of Sour Patch Kids.

The former Iowa star also posed with the Ignite squad after defeating their visitors, 25-18, 28-16, 25-16.

The Ignite held its first regular season match as part of the Pro Volleyball Federation, the premier professional volleyball league in the United States.

Indy’s dominant victory moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Several players spoke to the media after the game and raved about Clark’s presence.

“We’re in a position where we’re not Caitlin Clark, where we’re taking one shot, but we’re going to do that [have to take] 10 million,” said Azhani Tealer, according to Richard Torress.

‘[It was] pretty sick,” Tealer said. “She’s probably one of the most popular people in the world over the last year, so we’re glad she came. We are grateful for that. She is of course always welcome back.’

Leketor member-Meneh added: ‘Women supporting women in women’s sports is very, very, very important… A huge shoutout to all the women who come out and support us, and know that we give it right back when we be able to.’
