Caitlin Clark and boyfriend Connor McCaffery watch their first NFL game in Indianapolis after Fever rookie’s sublime WNBA return

On Saturday night, Caitlin Clark sat next to her boyfriend Connor McCaffery in Indianapolis to watch their first NFL game as a couple.

Clark and McCaffery sat in a luxury suite high above the Lucas Oil Stadium lawn to watch the Colts’ preseason victory over the Cardinals.

The game on the American football field came a day after Clark had performed sublimely in her return to the WNBA after the Olympic break.

The Indiana Fever star scored 29 points, one shy of her season record, and also had 10 assists and five rebounds in a win over the Phoenix Mercury.

Thanks to her dominance, Clark became the first rookie to record 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a single game in multiple games this season.

Clark was out of action for almost a month as a professional basketball player due to the Olympics. Her absence from Team USA led to the dismay of many basketball fans.

An NBC commercial starring Aubrey Plaza proclaimed that women’s basketball was “at its peak right now.” Yet the man credited with bringing the sport to prominence in the United States has lagged behind.

Clark teamed with Angel Reese and others to defeat Team USA at the WNBA All-Star Game and saw the Americans win gold in Paris.

Although the Fever started the season 1-8, they are now 12-15 and three games ahead of the Atlanta Dream in the fight for a playoff spot.

Clark will be back in action on Sunday against the Seattle Storm on Indiana’s home field.

Indiana hasn’t made the postseason since 2016. With Clark in charge, the Fever looks set to improve once again.
