Caitlin Clark already back in practice with Indiana Fever after being controversially left off USA women’s basketball team

Caitlin Clark is back training with Indiana Fever after being rejected by the US women’s basketball team at the Olympics.

Earlier this summer, fans screamed bloody murder after the rookie sensation was left off the Olympic roster sent to Paris. Her ouster came as Clark continued to draw more attention to the WNBA, breaking records for attendance and television ratings.

However, Clark remains focused on finishing her first WNBA season strong and is back in the lab despite the next game not being until August 16, after the Olympics.

Clark was photographed on Tuesday at the Fever training complex, where he was preparing for the remainder of the season.

The former Iowa star wore her Nike Kobe 5 Protro PEs during the session, and she also seemed cheerful as she talked about her new shoes.

“It’s pretty cool, I feel like it’s Fever, but it’s also Iowa,” Clark said of the shoe. “You get the best of both worlds. I have another one that you’ll probably see me wear later that’s even more Fever, so just wait for that one.”

‘But yes, you have the yellow [and] “They’re kind of like the Bruce Lee’s I wear, but different,” she added. “I like the gold swoosh. It’s black and yellow, you can’t go wrong with it.”

In a head-to-head race with Angel Reese for rookie of the year, Clark currently leads the Fever in points, assists and steals. The rookie is averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 boards, 8.2 dishes and 1.5 steals per game.
