Property in Cairns shocks with brutal description of property as war zone bunker
- House destroyed by a housing ad
- The listing describes the house as a “war zone bunker”
- Two bedroom condo on the market for $250,000
Homebuyers were shocked when a real estate agency made a roughly fair offer of a property described in the ad as a “war zone bunker.”
The savage ad promoted an apartment in Manunda, southwest of Cairns, which is for sale.
Rent Better, an online real estate investment agency, curated the unusually fair listing for the home in far north Queensland.
A house in north Queensland has been described as a ‘war zone bunker’ after a property investment firm released a brutally honest listing of the house
The no-prisoners list states that the buyer of the home will be treated to “free performances” from “residents screaming and fighting.”
It also states that the house provides a great vantage point for a tenant to ‘watch over a huge balcony with a commanding view over the battlefield (sic)’.
The cheeky listing included another home selling point: “a territorial marker on the stairwell.”
It is clear that marking refers to urine.
Daily Mail Australia is reaching out to Rent Better for comment.

The property agency describes itself as a “leading disruptor in the Australian and residential real estate market,” according to its website.
The listing also points out that the house contains “artwork” in the parking lot of the property, known as graffiti.
“You wouldn’t want to live there yourself, but the return is good,” the listing continues.
“Who knows what the future holds – maybe a foreign power will take over this godforsaken place and enforce the rule of law for ALL residents.”
A local resident in Cairns who was looking to buy a house in the area told me Yahoo News she was stunned by the ad.
“I was looking through realeastate.com.au and came across it and literally couldn’t believe what I was reading,” she said.
Despite the appraisal of the house by the real estate agency, houses and apartments all over Manunda are being snapped up by eager buyers
“I thought it was hilarious and had to share it.”
