An Australian mother has called Cadbury claiming its Easter chocolate range has a ‘bad taste’, prompting the candy giant to respond.

Miles Fyfe said this year’s bunnies and hollow Easter eggs had a different texture and taste than previous years.

She said they looked waxier, oilier and possibly thinner and that they had a “general abnormality.”

“It’s like they took cheap two-dollar store chocolate and wrapped it in Cadbury wrapping.”

“We still have several uneaten bunnies and eggs,” she claimed. “They changed the recipe, or did something to the recipe, and they taste terrible.

“They’re not good, last year they were great. This year? Waste, absolute waste.”

She posted her experiences on social media – with many elderly people.

One person commented: ‘I’ve noticed that Cadbury hasn’t tasted the same lately. Something is wrong.’

Another chimed in, saying, “I agree! They taste like cheap Advent calendar chocolate.’

A third said: ‘I bought the Cadbury 18 pack. After one bite it tasted like wax.’

A spokesperson for Cadbury’s parent company, Mondelez International, told Daily Mail Australia that while “the recipe has not changed”, they are “disappointed to hear that our product does not meet the high taste and quality standards we strive for .’

They also encouraged Aussies to contact their support team if there were any issues with products.
