Buy the entire Metro franchise for the lowest price ever on GOG
The recent announcement of a new entry in the Metro franchise, the VR game Metro awakeningmeans there has never been a better reason to revisit the vibrant environment of Russian public transport. Right now you can pick up the Metro Franchise Bundle – what features there are Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, Metro Exodusand all their associated DLC — for just $9.51 at GOG (was $59.47). If you missed your chance to get your hands on one of these titles, inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky’s grim, post-apocalyptic novels, when they were briefly made available for free, you won’t want to sleep on this deal.
The Metro franchise presents a much bleaker version of the post-apocalypse than the relatively whimsical Fallout universe. Instead of trading with bottle caps, you use bullets as currency; 1950s swing music is replaced by sobbing widows; and instead of big mole rats taking over the local grocery store, you’ll have to deal with literal demons. It’s an appropriately grim look at how society might adapt to underground life, and while the voice acting for all of these titles is solid, I highly recommend playing them in their native Russian dialect for extra immersion.
However, if you already have one of these titles in your backlog, every entry in the Metro franchise is also available piece by piece for its lowest price ever, in addition to the post-launch DLC for Metro Exodus.
