A butcher chased and stabbed a customer who complained about the meat he bought at a supermarket in Brazil.
The incident occurred on October 24 after the unknown victim went to the market in the town of Aparecida de Goiânia to complain about the meat he had previously bought.
Surveillance footage showed the disgruntled customer taking the meat out of a bag and throwing it on the counter before throwing the bag at the 25-year-old butcher.
The employee then chased the victim down an aisle as frightened customers looked on.

The victim was seen stepping back near a produce display when the butcher stabbed him in the chest, puncturing his lung.
He was rushed to a local urgent care facility and then transferred to the Aparecida de Goiânia State Hospital where he underwent surgery.
‘It was his 23-year-old son’s birthday and he went to buy some meat in the supermarket. When he got there he asked for a certain kind of meat and when we got home he went to look at the meat,” the victim’s wife told TV Anhanguera.
‘But it wasn’t the meat we ordered, especially because he has been a butcher for thirty years and therefore knows meat very well.’
The victim remains in the hospital but is feeling better and responding to medication, his wife said.

The butcher was arrested at his home on October 25 during a joint operation between the military and civilian police of Goiás.
“It drew attention to the futility of almost taking someone’s life,” said Thiago de Oliveira, head of the civilian police, as quoted by O Popular newspaper.
The butcher appeared in court on October 26 and was released on bail.
He is required to wear an electronic ankle monitor pending the start of his trial.
