Busted have announced that they will reunite for a 15-show reunion tour and a new album to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

The iconic boyband, ccomposed of Charlie Simpson, James Bourne and Matt Willis, will return to the stage as a trio, 18 years after they announced their separation.

james said Sun: ‘It’s out of this world that we managed to do this and we couldn’t be more excited about it. It’s going to be evil.

Matt added: ‘Now it feels like he’s meant to feel. It’s like the beginning all over again. Right now it feels like it’s just begun.

So, as Busted fans prepared to reunite with the pop group after a long absence, here’s everything you need to know about their return…

Trapped fans won’t have to wait long for tickets to see their favorite band in action.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, March 31, but if fans sign up for the Busted mailing list, they’ll get exclusive access to an advance sale starting at 9am on March 29.

Which are the date?

Busted will kick off their reunion tour in September at the Pavilions in Plymouth and will play in cities including Swansea, Bournemouth, Brighton, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.

The band will also play London’s O2 Arena on September 10.

The final show will take place at Manchester’s AO Arena on September 24.

When was the last Busted tour?

Busted last toured the UK in 2019 with their Half Way There tour, to promote their album of the same name.

Prior to that, the band toured together in 2016 and 2017, their first shows together since announcing their split in 2005.

In 2013, Matt and James joined forces with McFly to play the mega-band McBusted and performed four shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The group then went on tour together in 2014 and released the single Air Guitar.

Busted had hinted at a possible return date to mark their 20th anniversary.

Posting a cryptic video on the band’s account. instagram page, the trio captioned the post: ’03/23/23 #Busted20′.

The short clip shows a broken cassette being put into an old television. The screen then blurs and shows the band’s logo.

The Busted account also changed its Twitter banner to a background of static noise, overlaid by an outline of the band and the cryptic date.

There were a lot of rumors surrounding the band’s reunion, particularly after band member Charlie hinted that it might be on the cards this year.

The rocker admitted that while he has been “sworn to secrecy” about the project, “there may be some plans” afoot.

The pop punk trio first broke up in 2005, before reforming for a UK and Ireland arena tour in 2016.

Charlie also appeared on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp and on ITV’s daytime show Lorraine to discuss his victory in The Masked Singer.

First, while on the radio, Charlie was asked if there were any plans for a Busted anniversary album or tour, to which he admitted: ‘Oh! He might be coming, but he quickly added, ‘If I were coming, I’d be sworn to secrecy again.’
