Busted star James Bourne has revealed he was rushed to hospital after being bitten by a black widow spider.
The 40-year-old singer shared a photo of his gruesome bite on Instagram and issued a health update, admitting he didn't realize how “serious” it was.
James wrote on Instagram: 'I have now finally recovered (touch wood) from being bitten by a black widow spider.
Their deadly venom is said to be 15 times stronger than rattlesnake venom.
'I didn't know how serious my condition was until I was refused an infusion at my local Next Health because I had hypertension with a blood pressure reading of 190/115mmHg.'

James wrote on Instagram: 'I have now finally recovered (touch wood) from being bitten by a black widow spider.'
He added: 'Apparently that's quite serious. I ended up in the hospital later that night! Anyway, I'm still here, Alive and kicking! Cool story brother…'
It comes after James reunited with Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson for a 14-date 20th Busted anniversary tour across the country.
As well as Busted, Matt is now a TV presenter and will be co-hosting the UK version of Love Is Blind with his wife Emma.
After leaving Busted, Charlie joined the band Fightstar and has also released several solo albums, including his most recent, Hope Is A Drug in 2022.
After Busted, James joined the group Son Of Dork and also released two solo albums.
Last month, the songwriter split from his girlfriend of four years.
James and Emily Canham, an influencer with 692,000 followers on Instagram, called it quits and are “moving on happily.”
A source told The Sun: 'James and Emily have called it quits and are both happily moving on with their lives.
“James has been busy with the tour non-stop, managing his time between the UK and his home in LA.”
Emily has now reportedly signed up to celebrity dating app Raya and revealed she is looking for love in London.
