Disturbing images have emerged of a group of girls, one as young as 11, allegedly attacking two women on a busy platform, forcing shocked witnesses to intervene.

Four girls aged between 11 and 15 were charged over the wild fight at Burwood Station in Sydney’s inner west on Saturday evening.

In a video of the wild fight posted to Instagram and Reddit, the four girls were captured allegedly punching, grabbing and pulling two women’s hair.

One woman was allegedly hit by three girls, while the other had her headscarf ripped from her head as she dragged one of them away.

One fell to the ground and screamed as a girl tried to drag her across the platform by her hair.

In a video posted to Instagram and then widely seen on Reddit, a group of girls are seen fighting and shouting at Burwood station in Sydney’s west.

At one point in the footage, four girls were seen allegedly hitting, grabbing and pulling the hair of several women, causing one of the women to fall to the ground.

A man is seen entering the fight and trying to separate the group, shouting “Chill, girl.”

One of the victims approached a female station attendant, who attempted to verbally intervene, while the girls continued to grab the other woman while verbally abusing her.

Other passengers also intervened to help prevent the incident from escalating further.

It is unknown what sparked the ugly fight.

A NSW Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia emergency services were called to the station around 9pm in response to reports of a fight.

“On arrival, officers from Burwood Police Area Command were advised that three women – aged 27, 27 and 44 – and a 27-year-old man had been attacked by a group of girls,” they said.

‘Police arrested four girls at the scene who were taken to Burwood police station.

Three girls aged 11, 12 and 14 were charged with two counts of common assault, while a 15-year-old girl was charged with four counts of common assault.

All four girls were granted bail.

All will appear in children’s court later in February.

Transport for NSW says it is aware of the incident and is assisting police with the investigation.
