Burnley chasing Torino’s Yann Karamoh, as Clarets looks to strengthen ahead of Premier League return

Burnley are looking to sign Torino’s versatile forward Yann Karamoh on a free transfer this summer as Vincent Kompany plans to strengthen in attacking areas ahead of The Clarets’ return to the Premier League.

Burnley are among those interested in Torino’s Yann Karamoh, who could be available for free at the end of his contract.

Karamoh, who can operate on either flank, was on Vincent Kompany’s attack list when the Belgium boss arrived at Turf Moor last summer.

The 24-year-old was born in Ivory Coast and has represented France in all age groups up to the under-21 level.

He was a much-appreciated teenager when Inter Milan took him from Caen and joined Torino from Parma for a year last summer.

There are options to extend the contract, but if not taken up, he will be a free agent at the end of the Serie A campaign.

After injury problems at the start of the season, Karamoh has been in form since the turn of the year and has scored four goals since February.

Kompany is looking to strengthen his selection after promotion to the Premier League.

There is still uncertainty surrounding Nathan Tella, who has had a fruitful season in the Championship and has been loaned out to Southampton’s Burnley, where he has two years left on his contract.
