Burnley are set to appoint former Fulham and Bournemouth boss Scott Parker as their new manager.
The Clarets, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have been searching for a replacement for Vincent Kompany since he was snapped up from Bayern Munich in May.
And now, after a lengthy process that saw them linked with the likes of Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Frank Lampard and Liam Rosenior, Burnley appear to have finally found their man.
Parker, 43, has been out of work since being sacked by Club Brugge in March 2023 after an unhappy two-and-a-half month spell in Belgium.
However, he has previously enjoyed success in the Championship, leading both Fulham and Bournemouth to promotion.

Parker led the Cottagers through the play-offs, where they defeated rivals Brentford in the final, while guiding the Cherries to automatic promotion, although he left the club in anger after just four games the following season.
In total he has won 67 of his 172 games as manager and Burnley will be hoping he is the right choice to lead them straight back to the Premier League.
Elsewhere, the Clarets continue to prepare for the new season by making a £2million bid for Santos left-back Lucas Pires.
