Burger King launches FIVE brand new items – and they aren’t for the faint-hearted

Burger King is introducing more new products in the US as the ongoing battle between fast food chains to attract customers intensifies.

Like competitors, it recently launched a four-for-$5 meal deal to attract customers looking for value for money.

Now the range is being expanded with the Fiery Menu. It includes a burger, chicken sandwich, two types of fries and a drink – with different levels of spice, scored on a scale of one to five.

“We know our BK guests love spicy, flavorful dishes, but everyone has a different idea of spiciness,” said Pat O’Toole, Burger King’s Chief Marketing Officer.

“As a brand focused on guest enjoyment, we’re excited to offer a range of products that appeal to everyone – from those who just want a little spice to those who can’t get enough of the heat.”

Available nationwide for a limited time starting July 18, the Fiery Menu features five new BK menu items ranging from main courses to snacks.

Fiery Mozzarella Fries are French fry-shaped sticks filled with melted mozzarella cheese and peppers and covered in a fiery Calabrian pepper breading for spiciness

The full Fiery Menu range, available for a limited time from July 18, includes:

  • Fiery Strawberry & Sprite (Spice Level 1): Sprite with a fiery strawberry puree with a gentle kick
  • Fiery Mozzarella Fries (Spice Level 2): Available in four, eight, and 12-piece sizes, the fries are filled with melted mozzarella cheese and peppers that are crispy fried and given an extra kick of flavor by the fiery Calabrian pepper breading.
  • Fiery Bacon Whopper (Spice Level 3): The Fiery Bacon Whopper features 4 ounces of grilled beef with crispy Fiery-seasoned bacon, Pepper Jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and a creamy Fiery sauce.
  • Fiery Chicken Fries (spice level 4): Available in four, eight and twelve pieces, the crispy white meat chicken fries are marinated with Fiery spices and coated with garlic and pepper.
  • Fiery Bacon Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich (spice level 5): This chicken sandwich features a crispy white breast fillet coated with a Fiery glaze and topped with Fiery-seasoned bacon, Pepper Jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and creamy Fiery sauce.

Chains are suffering from declining customer numbers as Americans are tired of two years of price increases and are staying away, so they are coming up with new offers.

Burger King’s $5 Your Meal was the first to appear in restaurants in June.

Customers can choose from one of three sandwiches – a Whopper Jr, a Bacon Cheeseburger or a Chicken Jr – plus four chicken nuggets, fries and a soft drink.

McDonald’s has a nearly identical deal. For $5, customers also get four items – a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, fries, a soft drink and four McNuggets.

Wendy’s has a breakfast deal for $3 and also a four-course meal for $5, similar to McDonald’s and BK’s.

Starbucks also made a surprise entry into the value-for-money space with a coffee and breakfast combo starting at $5.
