Burger King sees this in 2024 by handing out free food to fans.

This weekend, the fast-food chain is handing out free burgers and sandwiches to customers as long as they buy something else that costs $1.

Today customers can celebrate the end of the year with a free original chicken sandwich. And tomorrow, Saturday, December 30, fans can get a free bacon cheeseburger.

To get the free food, customers must order through the Burger King app and sign up for the chain's Royal Perks rewards program.

Burger King items that cost around $1 include two chocolate chip cookies for $1.50 or four chicken nuggets for $1.69 at a location in Manhattan, New York City.

It's one of many promotions the burger joint has been offering this year, including handing out free food every Friday in December.

Throughout the month, the chain has offered $3 Whopper sandwiches every Wednesday.

In September, in honor of National Cheeseburger Day, Burger King gave out free cheeseburgers to customers who spent $1.

The cost of the chain's bacon cheeseburger and original chicken sandwich varies by location, but can cost $4.37 and $8.49, respectively, in Manhattan.

The latest deal comes after Burger King welcomed a number of returning items to its menu this month.

Cheese-filled potato cakes – known as Cheesy Tots – were back on the menu for the first time since 2021.

Available in four and eight pieces, these make for a “warm delicious snack or a comforting addition to any BK meal,” according to the company.

BK Melts have also returned to the fast food mega-chain's menus across the country. This is a special burger sandwich on round bread, instead of a hamburger bun.

Back on the menu is the Classic Melt, which features two slices of toast layered with two flame-grilled patties, melted American cheese and caramelized onions, and the Bacon Melt, which also adds bacon to the mix.

A brand new Melt has also been added to the menus this month.

The Shroom n' Swiss consists of two slices of toast, two flame-grilled patties, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms and the company's signature Stacker Sauce.
