Bunnings shoppers score free gift cards, sweet treats, and merchandise after finding golden bones in the store.

The golden bones were hidden among the DIY giant’s goods to celebrate the launch of their massive pet range.

“I went to see the new range of pets at Bunnings today, saw this ‘Golden Bone’, had no idea what it was, but picked it up and read the label,” said one customer.

Adding: ‘Went to the service desk and got a $10 gift card, and a Freddo! Not a bad score!’

While another woman couldn’t believe her luck when she won a $20 voucher, a dog coat and a ball for her dog after taking him to the store for the pet supplies launch.

Another said they got some eye-catching bandanas and portable bowls after taking their dogs to the store.

A woman posted a photo of her cats also exploring the store.

“My son called Bunnings and was given two bandanas, two collapsible water bowls and a bag containing a few treats, a squeaky toy and two free coffee vouchers,” added another.

Another Bunnings store invited their local animal shelter to the launch.

“There, with a few puppies waiting to be adopted, it was great for the puppies to find their new family,” said one excited customer.

Bunnings General Manager of Operations Matt Tyler said each store was given the opportunity to host animal-themed fun over the weekend to launch the new products.

“Our team is always looking for ways to provide the best experience for our customers and we regularly host a variety of free DIY workshops, kids activities and in-store events that are organized and run locally by each store team.”
