A lawnmower from a popular manufacturer has been recalled due to major product defects.
Motor Company Honda has urgently recalled all models of its Honda Australia HRN216 and HRX217 lawnmowers.
The global company that produces motors and electrical equipment has issued the recall due to a manufacturing defect that could cause injury to users of the machine.
All models of Honda Australia HRN216 and HRX217 lawnmowers sold at Bunnings have been urgently recalled
The product is a mulching and collecting lawnmower for domestic use. The lawnmower model number is HRN216 and has a GCV170 engine.
Other models of the product have been effectuated.
The electric powered lawnmower models HRX217HYU and HRX217HZU are also being recalled.
Bunnings has recalled a product on a range of lawnmowers because it fears it contains manufacturing defects
According to a notice from Product Safety Australia, the lawnmower models have a defect that may cause it to stop working.
A manufacturing defect can cause the camshaft decompression mechanism in the engine to fail, the message reads.
“On models without an electric starter, this excessive force may be required to pull the starter rope to start the engine.”
