‘Bullied’ New Jersey schoolgirl, 11, killed herself in school bathroom

A New Jersey girl tormented by bullies has been found dead by suicide in a school bathroom a week after her police officer father died of cancer.

Felicia LoAlbo-Melendez, 11, was unconscious in a booth at the FW Holbein School when she was found by another high school student on February 6 around 1 p.m.

Officials fought to save the sixth-grader’s life, but she was later pronounced dead by suicide after surveillance footage showed she was alone in the bathroom when she died, prosecutors said. NEW JERSEY.

Her mother, Elaina LoAlbo, has since revealed that Felicia was being bullied and is requesting tapes to confirm her daughter’s cause of death. Only a few days before, Felicia had buried her father, NJ Detective Alexis Melendez, who died of pancreatic cancer on January 26.

Felicia’s death comes days after New Jersey schoolgirl Adriana Kuch took her own life after bullies beat her in the school hallways and taunted her with text messages.

According to Elaina, her daughter emailed officials at the FW Holbein school to let them know she was being bullied and called out the staff for not taking action. The letter was one of many Felicia that officials never investigated.

“She herself had written numerous emails to the administration detailing the events, but no one was ever questioned,” Elaina told the news outlet.

A month before her death, Felicia wrote another letter to school officials to propose a ‘trauma club’ to provide a safe space for students to relax.

“I was watching TV and thinking about the things in my life that happened to me and a great idea came to me. Instead of a drama club, it would be a trauma club… I would help and provide whatever I could,” says the email Felicia wrote, according to the new outlet.

I would need a room that is not too big and not too small. We would need a couple of chairs as well. But I hope this happens. For my part, I have heard from my friends and other people about things that have happened to them and I think this would be a fantastic thing. Having a great night. Wow dragons.

Weeks after Felicia’s death, investigators and prosecutors have failed to name Felicia’s stalkers or how they tormented her.

“They have swept the bullying that she and many other children at that school have faced under the rug and are now doing the same with this investigation,” Elaina said.

A chilling voice memo from Felicia’s phone was also posted on Elaina’s Facebook showing the 11-year-old telling herself in the future not to be a bully.

“Unless it’s me, well, you’re hearing this from the future,” Felicia said in the 2021 memo.

‘Say hello to the mom-to-be, to the dad-to-be… to the future to everyone. Never, never, never be mean, never give up on your friends, never, never… be a bully.

The father of a friend of Felicia’s later revealed at a March 15 school board meeting that he knew the 11-year-old was being bullied and regretted not taking action sooner.

“My daughter confided in me that Felicia was being bullied by other members of her class,” Seth Turner shared. “I was unable to relay this information to any teachers or staff in time for anything to be done, and I need to apologize for this,” he said.

While no response to the death of an 11-year-old girl can truly be adequate, our response to this tragedy thus far has been pathetic,” Turner continued.

Turner added that Felicia was a “smart kid.”

Felicia deserves better. She deserves a full investigation, she deserves full accountability, and she deserves the truth, and I hope we can give it to her,” she said.
