Bull shark ferociously attacks fishing boat EIGHT times off Florida coast

  • Drone footage captured dramatic footage off the coast of Florida of a dramatic encounter between a bull shark and a fishing boat
  • The shark appeared to be defending its territory as it launched a savage attack on the ship as it sailed in crystal clear waters
  • The fish lunged to the back of the boat, positioning itself between the two huge engines and causing a frenzy as it circled back to aim repeatedly at the boat.

A bull shark was seen off the coast of Florida savagely attacking a fishing boat.

The incredible images were captured with a drone camera, flying overhead as the ship sailed in crystal clear, aqua water.

The shark, clearly trying to defend its territory, suddenly fell to the back of the boat and was caught between two of the boat’s huge engines.

It then caused quite a frenzy as it circled back to pound the boat once more.

The footage posted to Instagram sees the shark take aim directly at the craft five times before swimming away and then returning even more determined.

In total, the shark hits the boat and shakes it eight times.

Those on board described the shark’s power as phenomenal and that it felt like an earthquake or even jaws riding in universal studios.

“I was flying my drone on the beach and saw two huge cobia swimming with a bull shark,” Josh Jorgensen said in the video. Cobia is one of the tastiest fish in the ocean. So I called my friend Carl, and he ran to catch them.

“I was following his boat with my drone, and then suddenly the shark attacked his engines,” Jorgensen continued.

β€œThe shark attacked the boat five times, swam away, then came back for more. In total, the shark attacked Carl’s boat eight times,” explains Jorgensen.

“I didn’t think a shark could shake a boat like that,” Carl Torresson then said in the video.

The boat shook like a bag of popcorn. Like I was literally shaking like an earthquake. I was like, “What’s going on?” I went back and saw it was a shark that did it. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” This is like a ride from Universal Studios.”

The shark had damaged the boat’s engines, that’s how powerful the boat was.

“We think, you know, maybe he grabbed the propeller,” Torresson said. β€œWe didn’t expect the damage we did when we got back to dock, and it was just astronomical. The whole center of the engine is completely ripped out. The trim tab is broken.”

National Geographic notes that bull sharks are one of three shark species that regularly attack humans.

Tiger sharks and the great white sharks are the other two species known to attack.
