Buffalo Bills share insane video of snowstorm at Highmark Stadium as staff battle to clear field for 49ers game

A snowstorm in Buffalo continues to wreak havoc on Highmark Stadium less than 24 hours before the Bills’ scheduled game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Buffalo’s home game against San Francisco was placed under a winter storm watch earlier this week after heavy snow and high winds were forecast in Western New York.

The weather turned brutally cold as expected on Friday, with severe conditions painting Buffalo and other Western New York cities white.

Temperatures had already dropped below freezing by Saturday afternoon and up to four feet of snow is expected before Sunday’s NFL clash, which is set to kick off at 8:20 PM ET.

After calling for volunteers to help clear the field in time for the game, the Bills have shown off the amazing effect the snowstorm has had on their stadium.

The crazy clip captures the heavy snow that continues to fall late Sunday night at Highmark Stadium, which has been left completely white amid the snowstorm.

It remains to be seen if Bills Mafia will be able to clear the field in time for their highly anticipated showdown with the Niners.

The Bills’ Stadium Ops team was at work Sunday night after driving tractors around the field in an attempt to move the snow.

This weekend isn’t the first time snow has threatened to disrupt a 2024 NFL game; the Browns’ recent win over the Steelers took place on a grim Monday night in Cleveland.

Nevertheless, the current snowstorm has led to parts of New York declaring a state of emergency.

A “major disaster” has been declared in Pennsylvania, with officials warning Thanksgiving travelers of dangerous conditions as they head home.

“Travel will be extremely difficult and dangerous this weekend, especially in areas where several feet of snow could accumulate very quickly,” the National Weather Service said.

Nearly two feet of snow has already fallen in parts of New York, Ohio and Michigan by Saturday afternoon.

Come Sunday until kick-off, forecasters expect temperatures below freezing point around 30 degrees.

According to meteorologist Todd SantosBuffalo is expected to receive between four and eight inches of snow in the 24 hours leading up to kickoff.
