After Western New York was consistently blanketed in snow over the past week, the Buffalo Bills shared a video on social media showing Highmark Stadium being cleared of winter debris and provided with pristine playing conditions.
The entire stadium was cleared in time for the Bills’ epic meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night in the AFC Divisional round.
Clearing Highmark Stadium for the postseason game involved not only Buffalo staff, but also fans who earned $20 an hour to clear snow from under the seats and in the aisles.
The video shows snow removal starting on Thursday, with every part of the site covered in snow. It ends with the Sunday morning shot in which almost everything has disappeared.
Large amounts of snowfall are nothing new to those in the Buffalo area, and the Herculean task of clearing snow from a site the size of an NFL football stadium is a tremendous feat.
