The Buffalo Bills’ playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers has been moved to Monday afternoon at 4:30 PM due to hazardous conditions.
Governor Kathy Hochul, who declared a state of emergency, tweeted: “I was in touch with @NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell this weekend about the dangerous conditions in Buffalo.
“In consultation with our emergency response teams, Buffalo Bills leadership and the NFL, the Bills game will be postponed until Monday at 4:30 p.m.”
The NFL had until now insisted that the game would go on as scheduled on Sunday afternoon.
In fact, about 25 minutes before Hochul made her announcement, the Bills tweeted that the game would go ahead on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
There were also reports that the game could be moved to Cleveland if the bad weather showed no signs of easing.
