Buffalo Bills could be forced to CANCEL practice for Chiefs NFL playoff game with more heavy snow forecast this week before Travis Kelce and co get to town

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott could find his practice plans for Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game in chaos with more heavy snow expected to fall in Western New York.

The Bills already have two days less recovery time for the playoff game after heavy snow last weekend postponed their game against the Steelers by a day.

The weather for Sunday’s game – as it stands – seems fine for football as no snow is planned, but it is the days leading up to the game that could pose a problem for McDermott and his team.

Heavy snow is scheduled for Thursday and the coach has admitted it could force the team to cancel practices if it becomes unsafe for players to travel indoors.

McDermott said on Wednesday: “I just left the game plan meeting and came over here to discuss that with some of our operations staff to make sure we’re on top of it.

“We will deal with it, I am confident, and the best we can do now is just communicate well about it.”

It comes as the NHL postponed Wednesday night’s game between the Chicago Blackhawks and host Buffalo Sabers due to local travel restrictions due to the massive snowstorm blanketing the city.

The league announced that the game scheduled for Wednesday night would instead be played Thursday night. The city of Buffalo is under a travel ban and local executives were hoping the league would postpone the game in the name of public safety.

Meanwhile, Bills fans paid $20 an hour this weekend to clear Highmark Stadium of snow and prepare the venue for the Steelers game, which the Bills won 31-17.

While that won’t be necessary ahead of Sunday’s match, conditions will still be bitter.

The temperature is expected to start at 23 degrees at 6.30 am and could drop to 14 degrees during the course of the match.
